On April 14, 2002, two of India's greatest classical artists - one a tabla master and the other a sitar legend - joined forces for a concert at London's Royal Festival Hall. This video captures that memorable night. On a number of well-chosen ragas, sitar player Ustad Vilayat Khan makes his instrument sing in imitation of the human voice, while Pandit Kishan Maharaj demonstrates his mastery of cross rhythms and complex patterns on the tabla.
