Where Soldiers Come From (2011)

Childhood friends from a snowy small town in Northern Michigan join the National Guard when they graduate from their rural high school because they need money for college. This is the beginning of their 4-year journey as soldiers looking for roadside bombs in Afghanistan to their return as 23-year-old combat veterans struggling to start their lives again.
