Whispers in the Dark (1992)

In director Christopher Crowe's intriguing thriller, New York City psychiatrist Ann Hecker (Annabella Sciorra) is lured into an erotic demimonde fueled by the fantasies of a patient (Deborah Kara Unger) and a new romance with a beefcake pilot (Jamey Sheridan). But when Ann finds herself caught up in the shocking aftermath of a patient's murder, she begins to suspect her lover may be involved and turns to her college mentor (Alan Alda) for help.
