- Synopsis:
- Set in 1920's this lively revenge comedy follows the journey of an overbearing woman in a small Irish town. Edwina (Natasha Richardson) has moved into the neighbourhood known as 'Widows' Peak', named after the numerous widowed residents. Curiosity prevails with Edwina and it is not long before residents start interfering. Mrs Counihan's (Joan Plowright)'s son starts pursuing Edwina with tensions arising with resident neighbuor Miss O'Hare (Mia Farrow) who now has competition on her hands. As problems escalate, it's not long before the ladies of 'Widows' Peak' have a murder on their hands.
