The environment of gay hidden Wilby, a comfortable small town on the east coast of Canada, is in complete turmoil. Someone is orchestrating a scandal about what is happening in the town park after dark, making it appear the names of gay men who frequent the city newspaper. But the strange thing is that most of the residents of Wilby are so preoccupied with their daily life that even they would have found the thing. Only a writer as skilled as MacIvor (one of the most famous in Canada) was able to do a comedy so scathing and so natural at the same time, or perhaps because of this simplicity and naturalness in exposing the characters and situations in the film, the set becomes almost red hot. At the end of all this turmoil is to be hoped that the gay Wilby learn to love each other in the light of the sun.
