Synopsis:
Danny Trevanion is a dedicated vet with a passion for animals. His 18-year-old daughter, Rosie, is still grieving and angry about the death of her mother. She is resentful that her father is now remarried to Sarah, a divorcee with two young children - Olivia and Evan. When Danny brings home an illegally smuggled monkey whose life he has saved, Sarah decides they should all go to Africa to return the monkey to its natural habitat. She hopes that a family holiday surrounded by exotic wildlife and stunning scenery will bring them closer together.
The holiday becomes a permanent adventure, stretching Danny's veterinary skills and presenting life-changing opportunities for the whole Trevanion family.
