- Escaping his trailer park home with his younger half-brother in tow, the rebellious Link (Philip Lewitski) hits the road in search of his mother and a fresh start. On the way he meets Pasmay (Joshua Odjick), an two-spirit lone wolf clearly attracted to Link, who joins them as they travel across Eastern canada's remote Mi'kmaq territory. As an intimate bond forms with Pasmay, Link learns to connect with his own identity, Mi'kmaq rrots and burgeoning sexuality. Beautifully shot in magnificent Nova Scotia locations, Bretten Hannam's 'Wildhood' is a critically acclaimed and sensitively observed tale of queer love and self-acceptance.
