- Synopsis:
- Love against the odds in a small Appalachian town. 'Winter People' is the story of a widower, Wayland Jackson (Kurt Russell), who gets stranded in the mountains and is taken in by single mum Collie Wright (Kelly McGillis). The pair soon fall in love, but Wayland struggles for acceptance among Collie's family, and things get worse when her violent and drunken ex-husband returns to claim her.
