- Norway in winter: 1942. Two downed soldiers, Nazi officer Kreiner (Mats Reinhardt) and new recruit Fleiss (Frederik von Lüttichau), miss their chance of rescue after losing their bearings deep within the snow-covered forest. Burdened with an injured Norwegian POW, and with the heavy snow showing no sign of abating, the men are thankful to discover a house in the Scandinavian wilderness in which to find respite from the storm. The joy of refuge, however, does not last long. Kreiner and Fleiss soon find themselves locked in a frightening new war for survival, realising too late that the house is anything but the warm and welcome shelter it first seemed.

Passable Norwegian low-budget ghost story/horror on haunted house theme - The Winter Siege review by PV
OK so this states it is a DRAMA on the DVD sleeve but is really a horror cum ghost story. And it is low-budget stuff.
The director/writer/producer has not made anything else.
It is not THAT bad - very derivative, and I have seen many similar dramas before. Haunted House trope and more (NO SPOILERS). Nice and short.
THE OTHERS, TRIANGLE, LOOPER, and especially GHOSTS OF WAR (2020) which arguably does it better.
But watchable if not brilliant. It had scares and jumps and horror/ghost story stuff in spades. Though some horror tropes seems tacked on, runes etc. Some of it is extraneous and drags the story out, cinematic flab really BUT the whole movie is less than 90 minutes so not overlong.

Poor Film - The Winter Siege review by Doug
The early part of this film suggested it might be alright but it kept on repeating itself in most of the film the only reason I watched all of this film was to see the ending? I needn't have bothered because it was like most of the film Very Poor its all spoken in german so of course all subtitles as well
