- When all the men in their small, remote Latin American mountain village are recruited to fight in their country's civil war, all the women are left to fend for themselves. Led by Rosalba (Eva Longoria) they slowly emerge from their husbands shadows to become unwitting founders of a remarkable new society - an all-female utopia. When the men return, along with an American reporter (Christian Slater), a clash of the sexes ensues with unexpected consequences.
