- From the moment Charlie Devine (Rod Steiger), the tough, sadistic World War II ex-marine sergeant and his hunting cronies arrive at the resort. Wolf Lake, and find a young hippie couple tending the lodge - the tenor of terror is set. David, the caretaker of the lodge while the regular guide is away is the epitome of the society dropout and Vietnam deserter. His pacifism is put to a terrible test when his girlfriend is raped by the hunters. What is man’s deepest commitment - his obligation to his moral fibre or his deep-rooted sense of survival? “Wolf Lake" answers that question in one of the most blood-curdlinq endings of modern-day cinema.
