These Women Deliver - The Women review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
11/05/2009

The Women is aptly named as it features an exclusive female cast, with several notable cameo roles. Men who form the focal point of discussion are notable by their absence; in fact there are no main male roles whatsoever. This refreshing and deliberate choice allows The Women to concentrate on the female agenda, directed of course by a woman. And it certainly shows, whereas many rom-coms of late have been lightweight and failed comedies (such as Accidental Husband), this does a much better job of balancing lifestyle issues with the occasional laugh. As such it represents one of the better entries in the genre, allowing drama in times of marriage crisis and the need for friendship during those tough times.

Confusing... - The Women review by CP Customer

I have chosen this film because I like Meg Ryan, however I was very dissapointed. The movie has no plot, it's all about women chasing men, men are centre of their univers! Most of these ladies are well pass their sell by date yet still trying to look like spring chickens!!! Yuk! Meggy - what's happened to you? Just act your age!

Disappointing - The Women review by CW

I thought this would be marvelous considering the cast and the original movie. I wanted to like it but after about 20 minutes I gave up. I wouldn’t want to dissuade someone from seeing it, just that it didn’t interst me.
