In the dying days of World War II, much of the remains of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany took refuge amongst the ruins of the one-time great capital city - Berlin. As the Allied armies closed in, ferocious street fighting continued. Defiant SS troops, Hitler Youth and even children put up a futile last-ditch stand - most of them dying in the process. Meanwhile, their half-crazed leader roamed the corridors of the Fiihrer bunker, still convinced that his decimated army could repel the marauding hoards of Soviet troops as they thundered towards final victory. This powerful documentary re-visits the nightmare for the civilians, the defeat of a once mighty military, the pointless loss of life and the bizarre events that took place in the labyrinths beneath the remnants of 1945 Berlin.
