The viewer experiences the mystical world of the African YORUBA religion as it is celebrated in Cuba. The gods are invoked with rumba, song and dance. The African singing to the drums is called Rumba in Cuba. The lead singer invokes the gods ('Orishas') such as Patakin, Elegguá, Oggún, Ochún, Yemahyá, Oyá, the father of all gods Changó, Babalú Ayé and Obbatalá and the chorus urgently repeats the entreaties. This video shows ceremonies that remain hidden from the normal tourist.
