- Synopsis:
- German filmmaker Edgar Reitz directs this romantic drama set in the aftermath of World War II. As the American troops leave, the Red Army is due to arrive, disrupting life for the dwellers in a small village near Leipzig. Former member of Hitler Youth Joschi (Kai Taschner) wishes to head to the West with his love, Isa (Anette Jünger), but they meet obstacles in both the US and Russian forces.
