Aquaman reveals the origin story of half-human half-Atlantean Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and takes him on the journey of his lifetime - to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be...a king.
As the lazy summer days drift endlessly on in the peaceful Yorkshire countryside, we see our old friend Foggy return to the Holmfirth fold, bringing with him a whole host of brand-new, hair-brained ideas. But it won't be long before he discovers that much is still the same hereabouts. In fact he need only look at Compo - the village's oldest teenager - as he bravely stands in for Captain Zero, the human cannonball, enthusiastically takes up pole-vaulting to help Nora Batty hang out her washing, and knocks the socks off a local TV reporter with his legendary Maurice Chevalier impression. In Holmfirth, it was ever thus...
Set in the late 1970's, the pulsating thriller follows Charlie (Florence Pugh), a young, fiery but unfulfilled British actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets the mysterious Becker (Alexander Skarsgård), while on holiday in Greece. It quickly becomes apparent that his intentions are not what they seem, and their encounter entangles her in a complex plot devised by the spy mastermind Kurtz (Michael Shannon). Charlie takes on the role of a lifetime as a double agent but despite her natural mastery of the task at hand, she finds herself inexorably drawn into a dangerous world of duplicity and compromised humanity. Blurring the fine lines between love and hate, truth and fiction, and right and wrong, 'The Little Drummer Girl' weaves a suspenseful and explosive story of espionage and high-stakes international intrigue.
Granville still has his sights set on a romance with Mavis, and Madge is giving Gastric more attention these days, but that could be because she's impressed with his invention skills. Meanwhile, Leroy attempts to get Beth to dump her childhood sweetheart and enlists her best friend Ruby to help with his plan. Eric and Cyril try to impress their wives when they try various sporting activities, but still find time to get in touch with their artistic side. An oversize balloon wreaks havoc, and Arkwright's shop continues to offer more unlikely products and barmy schemes than you could shake a Yorkshire pudding at. And, of course, Arkwright still has to contend with the unpredictable snapping jaws of the till.
Created by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge this is a very modern comedy about a group of 20-somethings living together in a disused London hospital. Ukulele-playing Lulu (Waller-Bridge) is kooky but desperate to fit in and goes out of her way to make herself popular with the rest of the gang. She and old friend Anthony (Damien Molony) have history and are just a little too flirty, but Kate (Louise Ford), his fiancee tries to play it cool with disastrous results. Other oddball regulars include womanising posh boy Sam (Jonathan Bailey), "I'm an estate agents so I'm allowed to be a twat"; shy, excitable Fred (Amit Shah); and duck-out of water Colin (Adrian Scarborough), a sullen, middle-aged recent divorcee to whom frustrated French artist Melody (Julie Dray) takes a shine. Tensions escalate as Lulu's eccentric Great Aunt Gladys (Kathy Burke) drops by with some unconventional assistance. Nothing is quite as it seems as the friends fall in and out of love and deal with the consequences. Each episode brims with brazenly filthy humour and alarming twists of fate.
