In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of Jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dali arrives at the university; 18 years old and determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university's social elite - Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunuel. Salvador is absorbed into their decadent group and for a time Salvador, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. However as time passes, Salvador feels an increasingly strong pull towards the charismatic Federico - who is himself oblivious of the attentions he is getting from his beautiful writer friend, Margarita. Finally, in the face of his friends' preoccupations - and Federico's growing renown as a poet - Luis sets off for Paris in search of his own artistic success. Federico and Salvador spend the holiday in the sea-side town of Cadaques. Both the idyllic surroundings and the warmth of the Dali family sweep Federico off his feet. Salvador and he draw closer, sharing their deepest beliefs, inspirations and secrets, convinced that they have found a kind of friendship undreamt of by others. It is more that a meeting of the minds; it is a fusion of souls. And then one night, in the phosphorescent water, it becomes something else.
This debut feature from Gideon Koppel was greeted with huge critical acclaim. A poetic lover-letter to Trefeurig, a farming community in mid-Wales where Koppel grew up, the films shows both the great beauty of the landscape, and the vanishing way of life that it contains. Koppel’s patient observation reveals moments of great humour and humanity, even the mystical, in the apparently everyday life of the village: the visits of the mobile library; dog shows; the threat to the village school; sheep-shearing, cake making and the plight of a stuffed owl.

Luck comes their way when ‘Batuta’, a football talent scout, discovers them accidentally. Tato is the first to move to the big city where he becomes the star scorer for a prestigious football club, where his show-off style earns him the nickname of Cursi (Corny). At first, Beto feels betrayed by his brother until he too finds similar success as the goalkeeper for an equally famous team and all animosity is soon forgotten. But not for long...

A spellbinding account of the woman best known as Hitler's moviemaker and recently hailed by The New York Times as "one of the greatest woman filmmakers ever". In this remarkable documentary, Leni Riefenstahl addresses her past for the first time on camera. While she never actually joined the Nazi Party, as the creator of the single most effective propaganda film ever made, Triumph Of The Will, Riefenstahl has spent much of her life trying to live down her association with the Third Reich. Her personal relationship with Hitler is still in question. Feisty and charismatic at 91, Riefenstahl revisits the landmarks of her turbulent life - from her beginnings as a dare-devil actress in German "mountain films" to her direction of such stunning narratives as 'The Blue Light' (1932) and 'Tiefland' (1940's, released in 1954), to her infamous, brilliant documentaries 'Triumph of the Will' (1935) and 'Olympia' (1938) to her anthropological photographs of the now extinct Nuba tribes of Africa. The film brings out the story of Riefenstahl right up to her current passion - scuba diving and shooting films of exotic aquatic life. Altogether, a riveting story that leaves the viewer in total awe of its controversial subject.
