Love it or hate it (and most - completely understanably - will probably hate it), this is a totally unique and wonderfully realised achievement. It's by turns amusing, bewildering, sickening and overwhelming. To me its uniqueness is part of its appeal, although admittedly I couldn't watch it in one sitting. Yes, it's revolting, but also brilliant in every way. Absolutely worth your time, if you consider yourself a lover of art films and have a reasonably strong stomach.
If you haven’t read the book you’re going to have a hard time figuring out what’s going on.
If you have read the book then you’ll be disappointed to know this movie doesn’t deserve to share the same title.
If you like grimdark and vague, meandering plots then there is a small chance you won’t detest this movie.
Impressive photography, atmospheric in black and white, but the single camera method gives a headache. I couldn't follow the story no matter how I tried. 2 hours of my life I wont get back.
