- Synopsis:
Created by Steven Bochco and Terry Louise Fisher, 'LA Law' is the multi award-winning courtroom drama that was a huge commercial and critical hit. Join an all-star cast at Los Angeles law firm McKenzie, Brackman, Chaney and Kuzak, where many of the battles occur outside as well as inside the courtroom. In the season premiere, the office is shocked by the death of founding partner Norman Chaney, leaving the entire team to deal with the fallout. Pioneering TV Drama LA Law - L.A. Law: Series 1 review by JRC
Maybe showing its age and its over strong stylistic links to the Bochco original police drama Hill Street Blues (what a breakthrough that was) but still a remarkable production. However, either I'm getting deaf (not impossible!) or modern tv's don't have good sound quality, but I couldn't follow most of the dialogue. For this fly on the wall approach high quality sound is essential. Maybe not a problem if subtitles available, but they aren't. So, sadly, sent back with only a few great mages to remember it by.
