- London River tells the story of a friendship which develops between two seemingly unconnected people: Elizabeth (Brenda Bleythn) and Ousmane (Sotigui Kouyate). Both have come to London to search for their children who are missing in the aftermath of the 7/7 bombings.

a modern tragedy - London River review by AMG
The back story was a bit contrived but I thought the acting of the two main characters was excellent and the story told in terms of human tragedy rather than a political or social drama. The scenes of London were very vivid, very simply and well done.

Londre to rivet - London River review by SJP
This inconsequential film (more a Wednesday play)was enjoyable and well acted but our enjoyment was hindered by the subtitle director assuming we understood French. This meant we missed significant parts of the film, which in the main was dialogue based.
Am I missing something, but would not a film which deals with the friendship of people from different backgrounds in London be better summed up in the title 'London bridge', but who am I to 'pontificate'?

Doesn't live up to expectations - London River review by CP Customer
Although the film didn't live up to expectations it was a well made film and Brenda Bleythn is as always excellent (surprisingly convincing with French). I was expecting there to be more about the 7/7 bombings as this was the films tag and less about the character development. Worth a watch but very thought provoking.
