- Evan Birch (Guy Pearce) is a family man and esteemed professor at a distinguished college, where his charm and reputation have made his philosophy class very popular. When a female student named Joyce (Odeya Rush) goes missing, Evan's previous off-campus dalliances make his wife (Minnie Driver) question his alibi. Gruff Police Detective Malloy (Pierce Brosnan) has even more reason to be suspicious when crucial evidence makes Evan the prime suspect in Joyce's disappearance. Suddenly, the questions Evan faces aren't merely academic - they're a matter of life or death.

watchable but not fantastic - Spinning Man review by CP Customer
This film is OK but I agree with previous reviewers who describe it as rather nothing out of the ordinary. The presentation and acting was good and I liked Pierce Brosnan in the detective role. It was also good to see Minnie Driver. Best I can say is that its watchable.

Defective detective - Spinning Man review by NC
Is OK. Fills some time. Been done before in various guises. Fairly ordinary. Pierce has done better, but looks better than Guy in this one.

Could Have Been so Much Better - Spinning Man review by KW
with a decent story line and depth to the characterisations that would have allowed the actors to excel, instead of the impressions they were constantly walking on egg shells!
