Synopsis:
The American Gilded Age was a period of significant economic change, conflict between old and new systems, and fortunes made and lost. Season Two opens on Easter 1883 as Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) learns her bid for a box at the Academy of Music has been rejected. Over eight episodes, Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor (Donna Murphy) and the old system to gain a foothold in society, George Russell (Morgan Spector) battles a growing union at his Pittsburgh steel plant, Marian (Louisa Jacobson) secretly teaches at a girls' school, and Ada (Cynthia Nixon) starts a new courtship, to Agnes' (Christine Baranski)' disapproval.
In Brooklyn, the Scott family heals from a shocking discovery, and Peggy (Denée Benton) becomes an activist through her work at 'The New York Globe'.

Not as good as Series 1 - The Gilded Age: Series 2 review by CS

Watched the first 2 episodes & must say I'm not impressed so far. Much too slow, no intrigue and nothing to hold my attention.

Really enjoyed the first series and could'nt wait for the next to come round to the UK. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Sending back the disc & moving on to something else. Maybe I'll come back to it in time, maybe I won't bother !
