Much better than expected
- The Possession of Hannah Grace review by MB
Judging this film by its cover, you'd expect this to be a typical exorcism-based horror. And if you view the first scene (instead of fast-forwarding through it, as I'd recommend) you'd probably think, 'how boring, all the usual cliches'. But after that point the film starts getting better and better, leading me to suspect that the tease opening was added later by literal-minded producers as acrudely-obvious exorcism genre come-on.
What follows is not totally original, admittedly (The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Last Shift tread similar ground) but I found this as good as either of them. There's also a nod to the Danish horror NightWatch from several years ago. But this is a well-paced creepy horror set in a city morgue, with a sympathetic central character and a scary 'thing' stalking her. It's not a classic but it's good stuff.
P.S. Once you turn the lights back on and let your heartbeat return to normal, the 'Making of' featurette with the actress who plays the scary thing is rather fun.

Hanna show some Grace dear ...
- The Possession of Hannah Grace review by porky
Not a Bad Horror considering it is just a Rip Off of the earlier 'Autopsy of Jane Doe' only this time instead of a Witch she is Possessed .
Not bad effects and acting Though a bit slow to get going .and a slightly irritating back story to Troubled characters getting over Addiction and PTSD etc... Just to make sure NOBODY believes them when they start to see things are happening that shouldn't be .
Certainly Watchable .one of the better Possession Movies of recent times.

Claustrophobic, body-popping horror.
- The Possession of Hannah Grace review by NP
This is an atmospheric, claustrophobic chiller. Shay Mitchell is very good as damaged Megan, and Kirby Johnson is very effective as the eerie title character. With possession/exorcism stories, you often know what you’re going to get, so I liked the fact this story actually began with the exorcism and then explored the fall-out. The ex-boyfriend Andrew (Grey Damon – what a great name) s a bit wooden, and Security assistant Dave has got frizzy ginger hair, so he’s a bit of a twit.
In the 80s there was a dance move called body-popping. For a while, it was everywhere – then it became a feature of horror movie creatures – and it is very much in evidence here too.
This reinvigorated my passion for horror after watching a lot of substandard genre films. My score is 8 out of 10.

Nothing new
- The Possession of Hannah Grace review by CP Customer
Predictable story used in several other better films (Autopsy of Jane Doe). Nothing to be frightened of unless this is the first horror film you've seen. Same old same old. Not recommended.

Put tab A into slot B possession film.
- The Possession of Hannah Grace review by RW
The Possession of Hannah Grace is not particularly originally or inventive however it is quite workman like, it has all of the usual cliques that come with a film like this, people not believing the main character when something starts to happen, dodgy CCTV at crucial moments, ex on the scene through concern of their former lover.
However I did still find this enjoyable and well worth a rent, it's not reinventing the wheel on possession films and there is little in the way of tension. If you leave your brain at the door when you press play you may well be pleasantly surprised.
A solid 3.5/5

Excellent choice!!

GOOD, EXCELLENT A very watchable film, we usually give films of this calibre approx 15 mins to grab us. It certainly grabbed us in the first 5 minutes, the actors in this film was superb, no over-acting and soppy. We give this film a well deserved 5 stars.
