- "American Fable" is a fairy-tale thriller about a courageous girl living in a dark and sometimes magical world. When 11 year old Gitty (Peyton Kennedy) discovers a strange man hiding on her family farm, he tells her that he will grant her whatever she wishes if she helps him. The more time she spends with him the more her family's dark secrets are revealed and she realizes she must choose between helping the strange man or protecting her family. 'American Fable' is a haunting, moving and gripping fantasy.

Good movie that could have been a lot Better .
It tickles at the edges of Pans Labyrinth with its visions of darkness, but goes no further than a tickle ...
A kidnapping story that gets increasingly complicated by 2 pretty stupid Children's involvement .
people die unnecessarily ,mailboxes too.....
I enjoyed it by the end, but all the way through I did feel like Strangling the stupid kids .
