Not a bad ,hand held camera type film as far as they go.
Not FOUND footage this time but Documentary Footage of a Possible Haunting/Poltergeist ,A single parent family moved from Haunted Home to find where they moved to is also being Haunted ? ...or is it?
Not bad acting throughout EXCEPT for the Head of the Psychic Investigations Team, who cant seem to stop himself looking at the camera and pulling ODD faces.
Spooky happenings, noises, moving furniture, smashing glass, bodies being lifted and thrown all the usual you get in Possession and Haunting Movies.
Entertaining enough but the very end spoils the whole thing for me with a tagged on extra you were waiting for but that should have been better .
Apartment 143 is another one of those horror movies filmed with a handheld, point of view camera and shot almost entirely in one or two places. As these sorts of movies become more and more popular and the genre becomes more and more populated there is, inevitably, less and less to surprise and impress the audience. Apartment 143 gives it a shot and tries to shake things up a little bit but ultimately it’s a bit of a let down.
There is little plot to the movie, a group of ghost hunters and “para-psychologists” enter an apartment building where there have supposedly been all sorts of creepy sightings; within the first fifteen minutes the audience is treated to their first ghostly phenomenon, and the creepiness holds fairly steady from there.
Unfortunately none of the traits or themes used in Apartment 143 are new, this movie doesn’t offer us anything we haven’t seen before; thankfully the pace is handled well enough to keep you interested right until the end, but ultimately even that falls a little flat.
Whilst watching this movie I couldn’t help but feel as though there was a great deal of untapped potential within it, the script is amazingly detailed, whilst one or two of the performances stand out from the mediocrity, ultimately however the final act of the movie seems to cut short of the life changing and explosive revelation we expect and leaves us with a mild feeling of disappointment.
