Based on real life events in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia, Divided We Fall tells the tale of childless couple josef and Marie Cizek, who offer refuge to David, a young Jew fleeing from his persecutors. Comedy ? Not for me. - Divided We Fall review by ST
This is undoubtedly a well made and acted film, but it is also not a comedy, not even a dark comedy (in my opinion). It is yet another film portraying the suffering of the Jewish and non Jewish populations in Nazi occupied Europe. If you want a film about life under Nazi occupation then I'd recommend this, but if you want any hint of comedy then look elsewhere.
