- In the thrilling sequel to the breakout hit, "Don't Breathe 2" reprises Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang), who has been hiding out for several years in an isolated cabin. He lives with a young girl and has recreated the family stolen from him by a drunk driver. Their quiet life together is shattered when a group of unseemly criminals kidnap her. Norman is forced to tap into even darker and more creative instincts in an effort to save her.

New ideas - tired delivery - Don't Breathe 2 review by AER
Although Don't Breathe 2 offers a different plot to the first film (mercifully), it's not improvement. Although there are some nice polot flourishes, this sequel has led in its boots and feels turgid in a way the thrilling fast-moving original did not. Stephen Lang and the cast are good in thankless roles, but there's no way I'm getting onside with a rapist, killer even if he has kind of redeemed himself by bringing up a child successfully. Should've left it at one film imo. Fede Alvarez can't do endings.... (he co-wrote the script).

Great movie. A good follow up to the first. Stephen Lang was great. I thought this second installment is equally as good as the first.

Mad sequel! - Don't Breathe 2 review by NR
The basic premise of the first film is rebooted on steroids?
Where the original film plot was just about plausible and thrilling too,this one is ott,and rather annoying.
The main character is portrayed as some sort of superman here,pitched against a cast of "baddies" straight from central casting.
If you want a mindless "shoot em up",then this will do nicely!
