Synopsis:
Manchester, the present. Michael (Elliot James Langridge) divides his time between the job centre and the pub. A chance meeting with Lee (Jessica Barden), an introduction to her Uncle Ian (William Ash) and a heavy night on the lash lead to a job working the door at a Northern Quarter massage parlour called Cloud 9. Lee introduces Michael to a bizarre subculture hidden behind locked doors and down shadow filled alleyways. After witnessing the violent death of one of the punters, Michael experiences blood-drenched flashbacks and feels himself being sucked into a twilight world that he doesn't understand but is irresistibly drawn to.
Lee, Ian and the other girls at the massage parlour offer him excitement, intrigue and a family of sorts but slowly and surely without his realisation, Michael is being groomed. His new family have a dark secret, a shared addiction that they intend Michael to share with them. When Michael finds out what goes on in the room below Cloud 9, his life will never be the same again.

Sound as a pound ... - Habit review by NP

Stephen McGeagh has written and directed a grimy, messy horror film. You may imagine the title focuses on an addiction of some kind. Set in the rougher parts of Manchester, the drug in question may not be what you expect, although with this being a genre film, it might well be!

There's a strong cast at work here, convincing and likeable (well, some of them), and the revelations as to the nature of events are skillfully handled. Set against a rainy, urban backdrop, the unrelentingly grim future these characters are desperately trying to escape is all-enveloping. Whether Lee (Jessica Bardon) and Michael (Elliot James Langridge) do eventually find a way out from the lives that shackle them is not for me to say, but their journey is a shocking and bloody one, and 'Habit' is a film I enjoyed very much. My score is 8 out of 10.

Habit wasnt habit forming with me. - Habit review by porky

Pretty low key movie ,less interesting than it sounds.

Looser guy meets looser girl ,she is connected to Gangland Underground and Prostitution ring ,she gets Looser guy a job for letting her stay at his .

he gets involved too deep .

along the way some Cannibalism happens, for no really good reason.and apparently it is habit forming but actually effects the story soo little it is almost an after thought to make a very dull small town Gangster Movie more interesting.

overall it is an OK movie but do go looking for a Horror or Thriller movie , it is Small Town Gangsters doing illegal stuff in a Brothel mostly .
