Synopsis:
An engineer creates the ultimate weapon in a battle against aliens, only to be suspected as an alien himself. In this psychological science-fiction thriller, set in 2079, the Earth lies under a series of electromagnetic force-field domes, the result of a protracted war with an alien planet. Gary Sinise plays Spencer Olham, a successful weapons scientist who becomes an object of suspicion. Relentless, brutal investigator D.H. Hathaway (Vincent D'Onofrio) is convinced Olham is an alien spy, a simulated human with a time bomb implant. Soon a fugitive, he has to prove his innocence with the help of his wife, Maya (Madeline Stowe), and an underground rebel named Cale (Mekhi Phifer).

Lacklustre handheld sci-fi - Impostor review by Alphaville

Spoiler Alert
28/02/2021

Minor Phillip Dick short story can’t stretch to 90min run time, especially when it’s this poorly directed. Despite lavish sets, there’s nothing here but a simple tale about a human who might be an alien. Cue lots of boring running around in darkened interiors. In an effort to add some kinetic energy to the plot, director Gary Fleder waves the handheld camera around until you just want to look away.
