- With a heart that won't quit, a stomach that won't stop gurgling and a self-sworn oath to protect his turf, he's Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Mild-mannered Paul Blart has always had huge dreams of becoming a State Trooper. Until then, he patrols the local mall as a security guard. With his closely cropped moustache, personal transporter and gung-ho attitude, only Blart seems to take his job seriously. All that changes when a team of thugs raids the mall and takes hostages. Untrained, unarmed and a super-size target, Blart has to become a real cop to save the day.

Poor Taste & Lacking Laughs - Paul Blart: Mall Cop review by CP Customer
Expectations weren't high for Paul Blart Mall Cop yet I'm still surprised how much in bad taste the attempts at humour were. Kevin James plays a local security guard who is overweight, unfit, lacking confidence and hypoglycaemic amongst other limitations. Surely comedy can move beyond making fun of physical and medical conditions? A shopping mall should provide plenty of scope but its left for Blart to adopt a Die Hard finale to overcome a cast of extreme sports stars. Whom of course cannot act and put the final nail in the coffin to this film. A comedy without laughs is a truly sad experience, and here it is.

all the best bits are what are shown in the trailer, kind of like the home alone films but didn't match their greatness. watch if you just want something easy going.

The odd couple - Paul Blart: Mall Cop review by NC
Large sweaty guy is irresistible to young,slight, fairly pretty girl. Yeah, right. Americans seem to plug the concept quite a bit in most films.
Similar concept to National Security, which is a great film, and way faster moving.
Not too bad though. Low teens will prob like it more than more mature viewers. Will see number 2, as loads worse films out there.
