- Fast-paced, intelligent and with whip-smart humour, 'The Diplomat' follows Laura Simmonds (Sophie Rundle), and her Barcelona Consul colleague and friend Alba Ortiz (Serena Manteghi) as they fight to protect Distressed British Nationals who find themselves in trouble in the Catalan city. Mixing the roles of lawyer, counsellor and cop, Laura and Alba's diplomatic skills are stretched to the limit as they navigate the stream of surprising and complex cases that walk through the Consulate doors in need of their assistance.

Amateur Night - The Diplomat review by Nick
The usual wooden acting and appalling script which is churned out as British drama nowadays. It has all the perfect ingredients to ruin your nights entertainment.

Dire doesn’t come close - The Diplomat review by SC
You’ll find more drama and better acting in ‘Death in Paradise’.
I’d prefer to watch ‘El Dorado’ than any more minutes of ‘The Diplomat’.
