- 500 years after the events of the first 'Monkey King' film, a young Buddhist priest accidentally frees Wukong, the Monkey King. As penance for his past mischief, the Mercy Goddess forces Monkey to accompany the priest on his long journey to fetch ancient scriptures. Along the way they meet Bajie, the pig demon and Wujing, the buffalo demon. This new band of travelling brothers must face the evil and majestic Lady White in order to save their world!
