Lovely moving film that touches on the fear of inevitable loss all parents go through
- Julieta review by BS
A deep, heartfelt film that goes to the heart of a parent's experience.
The relationships unfolded with subtlety and depth, the powerfull symbolism gave it heft and the ambiguous end was pure Almodovar.
It was the perfect allegory for the loss of the child a parent once knew, and their replacement by an unknowable stranger.

thoughtful

A thoughtful minor piece I felt. Somehow I felt she lived a somewhat exclusive life without any visible means of support and background.
Like all these slightly dreamy films they leave you feeling a bit bereft and wanting to know more, and the end was just that.

Quite watchable.

A strange little film about the estrangement of a mother and daughter. The viewer is presented with past and present scenarios and deals with demons being laid to rest. Quite engaging and with good acting throughout from all the cast.

Appallingly Boring and self-indulgent

Don't waste your viewing time with this non-entity. There is nothing to engage with if you are looking for a quiet, sensitive film and certainly nothing happens in general.

Typical Almodovar story of lost daughter. Mystical happenings with background of confused personalities and coming and going. Difficult at times to follow where story is going. Good subtitles which help listeners' understanding, although, even at end, unsure of resolution.
