Synopsis:
In this exciting and powerful BBC drama based on the bestselling novel by Agatha Christie, ten strangers are drawn from their normal lives to a mysterious mansion on an island off the Devon coast. As the weather turns and they find themselves stranded, a lone voice echoes through the house. The terror mounts as they hear a bone-chilling indictment. These strangers share one thing in common: each stands accused of a terrible crime for which a price must now be paid. All too soon they will start to die; brutally slaughtered one by one, the killer inspired by a nursery rhyme that hangs in every room of the house.
The ill-fated guests form a tentative alliance, each afraid of the other but having no one else to turn to, desperately hoping to combat the killer in their midst. But as the body count rises, awful secrets are drawn into the light and the group splinters, mutual suspicion giving way to a sense of certain doom. For if all are destined to die, who can their executioner be?

I have seen film adaptations of this book many times but this adaptation was by far the best. Great cast, well acted.

Really Excellent Production of Christie. Sheer class. - And Then There Were None review by PV

This 3 part TV series is one of the very best adaptations of Agatha Christie I have ever seen. It was made not BY the BBC but FOR the BBC - which is possibly why.

Really top notch scripting, production values, acting, everything.

And changed the '10 N-words' poem into '10 Little Soldiers' did not, for once, seem achingly 'politically correct' as so much pc tampering does. It was utterly effortless and natural.

Sheer class.

Five stars.

Another excellent Agatha Christie adaptation by Sara Phelps - And Then There Were None review by Mr Aquarium

Sara Phelps knows how to update Agatha Christie, making her less shallow and [arguably] less bigoted, whilst also keeping the suspense and drama. The rest of this production - cast, direction, photography, artwork - is also superb. Recommend Sara Phelps' adaptation of "Witness for the Prosecution".
