Never eaten a McDonalds but the film certainly hit the spot.

A really good biopic, well acted, made me laugh at times, certainly made me think about big business and how some people make, and take opportunities.

Decent biopic

This is a decent biopic and worth watching for anyone who has ever eaten in MacDonalds.
Real sadness and meaning here too.
4.5 stars.

Michael does fast food
- The Founder review by NC
Keaton has focus, so is good choice for part. Doubt the actual guy was that dynamic, but lends a little zip. Quite interesting story behind it, and shows how you can make it big in the US...........their fast food is better there than here!
Filmland always looking for semi documentary type stories now..........only so many Marvel comic characters! When in doubt, can go to chainsaws and zombies.
Only kids films are entertainment now!

Could have been much better

You can't argue with a true story and from I read there was a lot of truth in this.
Told me a lot about the MacDonald chain and how it started. Interesting but there is a better movie to be made about this than they attempted here.

Facinating Story

Very enjoyable film with good acting which showed the ins and outs of building big business and how cut throat people can be when making money.

A well made film but what an awful 'real' story !

The film was well made - nicely shot and a good script (apart from one thing which I will come to in a moment).
If I am completely honest I am not sure that Micheal Keaton was the best person to cast for the main character in the film - I really didn't like him - or maybe it was his character - the longer the film went on the less I liked him ! - so maybe he did an excellent job. I just wanted the film to take a different course than it did - usually good triumphs over evil.
And to come back to my earlier point I wish the script writers had covered the negotiations between Ray and the McDonald brothers a little better. The way the film portrayed it the lawyer representing the McDonald bros should be de-barred and never allowed to practice again as well as being sued to high heaven !
In summary an excellent but very sad film - more Sunday night than Friday night viewing !
