Good cast, terrible movie
- Anti-Life review by CC
I really wanted to enjoy this film. I like Bruce Willis and have never not enjoyed one of his movies in some way. This one's the exception. It's a dog. The whole thing reeked of super low cost production values. The sets and the effects were from 1970s. The performances had no nuance or subtlety whatsoever. Everyone seemed to only have two facial expressions. Really mad and really scared. The story was so thin I was afraid it would suddenly snap like a worn piece of string. The one chance this film had of redemption was when the 'final' creature made its appearance. Wow! I know it was meant to be scary, but it looked like an angry lounge chair on wheels.
This one doesn't even fit the bill as a covid viewing of last resort. I would give Anti-Life a wide berth if I were you.

Hard to Work it Out
- Anti-Life review by RW
With no subtitles it was hard to work out what was said and what was going on. But then the plot was so shallow, the lack of understandable dialogue was not really missed. Thank goodness in the future all weapons had everlasting ammunition. Mr. Blobby at the end was hilarious as the arch-baddie monster.

Willis must be running out of cash
- Anti-Life review by AM
Whatever is Bruce Willis doing in this wreck of a film? More rubbish from Signature...one of the worst distributors, no subtitles, low volume (set on 100% full could barely hear dialogue) and dreadful direction, lack of cine-photography, cliche'ed lighting (i.e. copied from successful films - but very badly) you can clearly see the gaffer tape holding the sets together and nails holding the plywood bits to the walls of the interiors to add 'tech' look. There's a brilliant bit where Willis sits on his bunk which is so badly designed that he has to sit bent forward - it's too small to be sat in! In one shot you can see the chipboard floor of the space craft so badly painted and with chipped edges it looks like a student's flat after a party. Just one point...how long could you be firing machine guns in a spacecraft before the outer hull is breached? Can you put a pregnant woman into cryo-stasis? i.e. suspended animation, what happens to the foetus, does it stop growing too? What a waste of my money.

The pits
- Anti-Life review by Alphaville
After a boring opening full of talking-heads in close-up it’s downhill all the way. Where to start? The script’s awful, the acting am-dram and the direction abysmal. To make it even worse, it’s filmed with a shaky-cam in claustrophobic interiors. The plot concerns an alien on a spaceship (yawn, yawn). To avoid the need for any special effects, it takes over humans and turns them into zombie-like crazies. There’s not an iota of imagination in the whole thing. Feel very sorry for Bruce Willis that his career has come to this.

Anti-Life ? More like AFTER-life.
- Anti-Life review by BL
I've been a Bruce Willis fan for years and have enjoyed so many of his films particularly his action roles, whether straight or tongue in cheek but the one thing this effort lacks, of any type, is action ,and by golly, does it need it! In fact, in hindsight, what it really needs is yes, action, or a good story or acting or decent effects or ANYTHING that rescues it from being this total load of dross and total waste of time. How Willis or anyone could be happy to be associated with this rubbish is beyond me. I guess the pay cheques must have been pretty good!.

Awful
- Anti-Life review by CP Customer
This film probably had a £100 special effects budget. Truely awful film. What on earth is Brucie doing appearing in such utter rubbish, but appears to be the norm for him since his Die Hard days. Take my advice don’t bother with this film. Bad in every aspect.

Rubbish
- Anti-Life review by LI
What a complete waste of time and money one of the worst films I have seen Bruce Willis do. The ending wasn't even an ending!
