In the heart of the breathtaking Bavarian Alps lies the fairy-tale Neuschwanstein Castle, proudly situated in a land of enchantment known for its magical lakes, rugged mountains and historic castles. Neuschwanstein was built by Ludwig II as a retreat in honor of German composer, Richard Wagner, and it became the inspiration for Walt Disney's Magic Kingdoms, which have enthralled visitors of all ages for generations. It creates the perfect setting for Sarah Brightman's spectacular 'Hymn' concert. Conceived and created by Sarah along with Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia, Beauty and the Beast), and Frank Peterson, this cinematic performance is a unique hybrid of a musical film and a large-scale concert production. Staged in Ludwig Il's Festspielhaus, Sarah is accompanied by her band, the Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra, a 50-voice choir and the Ludwig Ensemble of dancers. Special guest performers include Yoshiki, Vincent Niclo, Mario Frangoulis, and Narcis. The presentation is staged in two Acts, embracing some of Sarah's most beloved works as well as songs from Sarah's new album 'Hymn', performed for the very first time; the intoxicating 'Sky and Sand', 'Miracle' - the epic collaboration with Japanese superstar, Yoshiki - and the tour de force that is Sogni, on which Sarah is joined by French tenor Vincent Niclo. Sarah also performs a solo rendition of her classic 'Time to Say Goodbye', with English lyrics. For only the second time ever, a pair of Tawny Pipits have arrived in Britain to nest. Led by the redoubtable Colonel Barton-Barrington (Bernard Miles), the good folk of Lipsbury Lea rally around to show these birds some traditional British hospitality, protecting their little guests from the might of the army, the stupidity of bureaucracy and the machinations of some very determined egg hunters...

In 1973 a one-off 'Magpie' film looked at London's streets and markets through the eyes of children attending Islington's Anna Scher Children's Theatre. Showing how they interpreted daily life in their drama classes, 'Kids About Town' caught the eye of producer Roger Price, who suggested the Anna Scher kids be given their own series. 'You must be joking!' replied the controller of children's programming; 'That's what we'll call it', suggested Roger...A wry, energetic and irreverent comedy show of a kind never previously seen and certainly not one for the easily offended! - 'You Must Be Joking' duly launched an unknown bunch of kids onto the TV screen. Led by writer-performers Ray Burdis and John Blundell, and featuring future BAFTA winner Pauline Quirke, the talented teenagers were 'supervised' by comedian and long-suffering lone adult Jim Bowen. In between topical and satirical sketches, Elvis Payne took a cynical look at the week's news, and live music came from youthful popsters Flintlock, led by the multi-talented Michael Holoway. Many of the show's stars would go on to enjoy successful careers in television.
