The BFI continues its tour of Britain on film with this intoxicating anthology of shorts devoted to that most traditional of national institutions: the public house. 'Roll Out the Barrel: The British Pub on Film' is a unique and fascinating collection of 20 films, made between 1944 and 1982. From wartime documentaries intended to keep up flagging spirits to independent productions exploring the permissive society of the 1960s, this five-hour collection provides the perfect measure of cultural change in Britain from the perspective of bar and lounge.

Henning Wehn is The German Comedy Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Not the easiest of jobs as Germans allegedly do not have a sense of humour. Henning does not find this funny. This is Henning's first solo video. Recorded at the Leicester Square Theatre in May 2012 and previewed at the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon, 'No Surrender' will hopefully entertain you for the full 77 minutes. Watch Henning not capitulate to Australian swimming pools, the Eurovision song contest, Royal weddings, Scottish devolution, Chinese economic power, hernias, kebab shops and much, much more besides. There are also two short films, both directed by Marek Larwood. Henning explains the meaning of life in one, in the other we share a typical day with him - fortunately this only lasts 5 minutes. Exactly 5 minutes.

Eventually, Hanlan's ability grows, and so does his fame, but success comes at a price when Hanlan falls prey to a ruthless businessman (Christopher Plummer). Through it all, Hanlan becomes a world champion, garners awards on three continents and becomes the first to successfully utilise the "sliding seat".
Another highly-popular series in the successful run of Francis Durbridge thrillers. "A Game of Murder" is a six part drama series about the suspicious death of Bob Kerry (Anthony Sagar), a once-famous athlete in peak condition who is found dead on a golf course. The coroner records a verdict of death by misadventure, but Kerry's son Jack (Gerald Harper), a Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police, is determined to seek out the true nature of events which lead up to his death. His pursuit of the truth and the evidence which confirms his suspicions sees the body count rise to the tune of one an episode, reaching its climax with the customarily unexpected Durbridge twist at the end.

Having enjoyed only a small-scale release in 1997, 'Caught in the Act' has gradually become a sleeping hit amongst those viewers lucky enough to have seen it. Featuring an excellent comedy cast 'Caught in the Act' is an uproarious tale of female friendship, romance, out-of-tune singing and a lecherous Leslie Phillips!, 'Caught in the Act' is a feel-good comedy classic. Lucinda (Sara Crowe) invites her two best friends Katherine (Annette Badland) and Amanda (Nadia Sawalha) to join her on a holiday in a beautiful Norfolk backwater village. The girls pile into Lucinda's sports car to take the long trip blissfully unaware that she has entered them into the local talent competition, but aware that they have no talent! Whilst Lucinda wants to impress the local talent spotter, who is the man of her dreams, the girls have to avoid the attentions of the local village Romeo, Sydney Fisher (Leslie Phillips) who is a dab hand at putting buns in the oven!
Rock's premier metalmen Led Zeppelin, whose blend of gutsy blue and scathing rock catapulted them into the music world's pantheon, take you on a spellbinding journey of song and imagination. This high-impact movie captures the group's legendary 1973 Madison Square Garden concert and uncorks a freewheeling mix of scenes showing group members at home and in elaborate fantasy settings. Robert Plant's raw lead vocals, Jimmy Page's explosive riffery and the sonic-boom rhythm wall of bassist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham all swirl, clash and collide - on classic tunes like Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, Whole Lotta Love and many others. No one goes down heavier than Zep!
Lesbian therapists Kit and Dyna have published a best-selling book called 'How to Succeed in Marriage Without Even Trying'. Problem is, they can't stand each other! Tissues and issues fly, but will Kit and Dyna pull through in one piece?

In the Red is set in Spring 1998, a year into a New Labour Government, with the country feeling that nothing has, in fact, "got better" at all. When a serial killer targets a number of bank managers and financiers, the nation responds with a curious mixture of mild outrage and quiet admiration. George Cragge, a raddled BBC Radio crime reporter with a fondness for drink and a healthy contempt for BBC management, joins the murder hunt after he begins to receive mysterious telephone calls from the killer. Leading the murder hunt is his old ally, DCI Jefferson. An immaculately constructed whodunnit, and an irreverent, yet affectionate romp through the corridors of British power.
In November 2013 Lang Lang and internationally acclaimed choreographer Stanton Welch teamed up to explore a new collaboration by combining a live piano recital with a live ballet performance. Stanton Welch's choreography is built upon a selection of piano music by Chopin, chosen by Lang Lang because of its visual nature and dance potential.
